Welcome to AUDUBON
Audubon is a woodsy residential community nestled among trees, ponds and walking paths in Amherst, NY. Located near the University at Buffalo’s suburban campus, Audubon features “shed style” architecture-- a rarity in the Northeast, but fairly common in the Pacific Northwest. The “shed style” includes homes with vertical stained wood slats and odd angles.
Audubon is a multi-cultural enclave. From college students to senior citizens, Audubon’s population is diverse. There are many single family homes in Audubon, as well as senior housing complexes and apartment buildings.
Some 3,000 people call Audubon home, and when homes go on the market here they sell quickly. The school district is top-notch, the community is well-maintained and safe, and Audubon is ideally located near all sorts of amenities, including restaurants, grocery stores and entertainment options.
Audubon Pool Open- pool is open 7 days a week 11am-8pm weather permitting; 1 guest per resident; additional guests are $3 each. Wanted: part-time lifeguards/subs for the pool; call JoAnn at 688-1632 for info.

Motorcycle Storage- Audubon resident Brad (429-6280) is looking for space to store his motorcycle indoors for about 4 months out of the year (winter months) and is willing to pay. If you have spare garage space in Audubon, call him up and discuss! Then call the office at 688-1632 to let JoAnn know you made a deal so this note can be taken off the website.
Modern Disposal– TREE Branch and TWIG pick-up:
Tie in 4 ft. bundles with string or twine, NO TAPE, each bundle cannot be more than 60 lbs. each. You can use old garbage cans such as metal or plastic for curb pick up; NO Totes are to be used for wood, tree branches and or twigs. You can put these curbside on your normal garbage pick-up days. Any other way WILL NOT be picked up!
New Benches & Picnic Tables- The benches around the pond near/behind 700 Robin were old, wooden and worn. The Board replaced them with brand new ones that happen to be made from 100% recycled plastic. Also new? Five brand new resin green/tan picnic tables outside the pool area.
Security- Did you know Audubon uses security guards from Buffalo Protection & Investigation, Inc.? The company regularly patrols Audubon, helping ensure the safety of area residents in common, public areas, esp. at night.
